It is proud moment for All Sarvailians as M. Mahender Reddy of our school who was Hyderabad Police Commissioner is now being appointed as Director-General of Police (DGP) of Telangana on Friday. According to a release, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao signed the orders.
Mr. Mahendar Reddy will be the second DGP of Telangana state carved out in 2014. He will succeed Anurag Sharma (who will superannuate on Saturday) and assume charge on Sunday.
Mr. Mahendar Reddy hails from Kusumanchi village of Khammam district who completed his SSC from Telangana Residential School Sarvail in 1978 and subsequently selected for IPS in 1986 after his higher education. He held many positions as SP of Karnool, Hyderabad east zone commissioner, first Cyberabad police commissioner etc where he has brought significant changes in friendly policing.
