The Gurukul Sarvail Residential School
A pioneering institution that transformed education in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
The Scriptures and the Idea
Our scriptures are replete with the importance of Gurukul system where students enter, learn, and complete their education within the premises. This ideal was fostered through a "Gurukul Residential" school system, which was lacking in the combined state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for years till they attain the knowledge. This idea was visualized in practice when Sri PV Narasimha Rao, the then Chief Minister in 1971, took the initiative to set up a Gurukul Residential School in Sarvail village, near Choutuppal, which was in the then Nalgonda district.
Historic Beginnings
The school came into existence when Maddi Narayan Reddy, Sarpanch of Sarvail village, donated 45 acres of land to establish this pioneering institution. The school successfully conducted its activities over the entire length and breadth of India for years.
A Legacy of Excellence
Sarvail School stands as a "Centre of Excellence" that has educated and mentored thousands of students who have gone on to become leaders in various fields across the globe.
